Just because you're a guy doesn't mean you don't want to stay young looking. Follow these tips and take years off your face.

In days gone by the weathered, cowboy look was in, but not anymore. These days both men and women want to stay younger looking than their true age. There are natural ways for men to fight aging by following these anti-aging tips for men.

Spend some time in the sun every day.

Too much sun exposure can cause premature wrinkling and may even lead to skin cancer, but a little bit of sun each day can give you a healthy dose of vitamin D. Sunscreens tend to block out the helpful rays, so spend about fifteen minutes outdoors without any sunblock on.

Protect your skin with sunscreen.

If you plan on being in the sun longer than half an hour then be sure to use a good sunblock with an SPF suited to your skin. The lighter your skin, the higher you'll want the SPF to be. If you don't like how thick and greasy sunblock feels, find one that's oil-free. They even have some that spray on and dry instantly.

Drink plenty of water.

Dehydration is one of the top ways to age your skin before its time. Being dehydrated also leads to headaches, constipation, and a long list of other unwelcome problems. Aim for at least eight full glasses of water each and every day. In the summer time and when you're sweating you'll want to drink more. Water will help to hydrate you from the inside out and plump up your skin cells.

Guys need moisturizers too.

Truthfully, any moisturizer made for women can be used by men. After all, skin is skin. However, if you feel a bit weird reaching for that pink bottle of lotion, look for a moisturizing cream made especially for men. They usually come in manly-looking jars and bottles that are black, dark blue, or silver. Use the moisturizer before you go to bed at night, and after you shave or wash your face. In time, a good moisturizer will fade away fine lines and wrinkles, erasing a decade or more off your looks.

Exfoliate the wrinkles away.

You can buy an exfoliating scrub, such as an apricot scrub, or buy a facial exfoliating sponge and use this daily or at least three times a week, depending on how sensitive your skin is. Dead skin cells can make you look older, so by scrubbing them away you uncover the newer, softer looking skin cells underneath.

Eat healthier for better skin.

Nobody likes to be reminded of this, but the better your diet the younger you'll look. If you eat foods that are high in fat, sugar, refined flour, and loaded with sodium then your skin and waistline will show it. This doesn't mean you need to start eating like a runway model. Instead, always be sure you eat breakfast and have a piece of fruit with it. Skipping meals will make you hungrier later on. Always eat a vegetable or salad with your other meals or drink a glass of vegetable juice (like V-8.)

These simple tips can make your face look younger and boost your self-confidence as well. Guys don't have to age gracefully, they can hold back the hands of time just as easily as women can, as long as you put a little bit of effort into it.
